Wheels up at 9:15am for a ride to Babylon Docks and back. We will stop for refreshment at the Deli at the Babylon Docks. Depending on the wind and direction we should average 14.5 - 15. Of course in order to obtain this average at times our road speed could be 15-17 mph. No one will get dropped. Please check ride calendar at 7:30am day of ride for go or no go incase of issues which would prevent me from riding or bad weather.
Think we should go to Manorville today. For those who were with me last week it will be the same route unless the wind dictates another. The road speed will be 15.5/16.0 except when the wind is at your back or going downhill. The average - let's try to keep it in the B minus area. The distance will be 30/32. Some of us still have cold legs so we won't go crazy. For those who have hot legs there will be a break-a-way for you. The stop will be McDonalds in Manorville. If it's crowed with another ride group, go in, get your stuff, do your business. Then go across the street, or down the alley, or around the corner. Don't hang out with them. Why - covid is still around.
Please text me at 631.484.3490 with your LAST NAME if you plan on coming. REMREMBER to bring a mask. If you have any questions about this ride text me. If the ride gets full it will be entered at the top of the ride description in prettyred and yellow colors.

This ride currently has only 3 riders. We are still leaving from Veteran's Park in Calverton.
Join a small group of riders who are trying to increase their speed and distance over the next month or so, culminating in an unsupported century ride. Please note that although our goal is to do 100 miles, this is not the beginner century training, there is no new rider instruction and riders should be able to do the advertised distance and pace.
Bring or buy snacks or quick lunch at a bagel stop.We will not sit inside and monopolize the seating limitations.Even though the Club rules are clear please wear a face covering at the beginning, end and any stops.
Join me for this afternoon 18-23 mile ride around Ronkonkoma and the surrounding areas. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride.
