NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

We will stop at the first gas station after Red Creek for our rest stop and wait ups will be at our usual spots and as needed. If you would like to join this ride please text me - 516-983-4827 I need your name, SBRA #, emerg cell # That way I can prefill the ride sign in sheet. Wheels up at 9:15am for a ride to Babylon Docks and back. We will stop for refreshment at the Deli at the Babylon Docks. Depending on the wind and direction we should average 14.5 - 15. Of course in order to obtain this average at times our road speed could be 15-17 mph. If it is a nice day we may add a stop at the Islip beach which could add a mile or two to our total. No one will get dropped. Please check ride calendar at 7:30am day of ride for go or no go incase of issues which would prevent me from riding or bad weather.
Park in the south lot closest to Montauk Highway for a scenic ride to Quogue. We will stop at the Beach Bakery on our way back. Please text me if you are planning to come. Check back for any changes which would be posted by 7 am.
Join me for this C+ ride, which will average 12.2 - 13.0. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride destination will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets. We will head to Blue Point, loop around Corey Beach, and stop at the Atlantic Ave. Deli for our break, and there will be a bathroom stop.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.

We will be doing a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg and Westhampton Beach. The average pace will be between 14.5 and 15.0 mph. +/- depending on the wind, road conditions, geese, ducks, squirrels, and rabbits. Road speed will be between 15 & 17 mph. We might end up with an extra mile or two, but that's it. Pulling is always appreciated. You know the drill.
There will be a short break-a-way along Dune Road; we will not be going to the big bridge.
Around mile 25/27 we’ll stop at the Beach Bakery for some goodies and a bathroom break before heading back to the start.

We will ride around some quiet back roads of Sayville while working our way to the Great South Bay. we'll be passing the Mansion at West Sayville and the Long Island Maritime Museum. We'll wind our way to the beach for a snack and possible bathroom break (not sure if park bathroom is open yet). Then we'll head East to Bayport, enjoy a couple more water views and head back on our return leg. Please bring water, spare tube, and a snack if you wish.
There is a bathroom available in Brinkmanns hardware store at the start and finish.

We will make a loop through Oakdale and then head into Babylon. We will stop at the deli down by the docks for a snack. We can use the rest room there or at the dock if that one is opened.
