NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. Unpack the long johns and let's ride to Manorville, then do a couple of long loops around the Moriches Bay area and end in Eastport. I am aiming for 15.6 to 16.0 mph. Pulling is appreciated and optional but NOT required. Short comfort stop at McDonald's and a short stop in East Moriches, if 2 breaks are needed in doing 40 miles early in the season. I will provide a ride sheet and will take your info at the ride.
Be ready to wish the two sandwiched Bday boys a Happy Birthday!
I think Rocky will be good to ride. Thanks Ron for correcting the Ride Start location.
Check back to this posting before leaving for the ride.
First time at Rocky this season. I will skip doing the Westide first and if there's energy and time after the 13 miles I might do it but not likely.
