CHANGE #3 - starting at 8:15 AM, by request, due to the heat!
Join me for this easy and almost completely flat ride from Mattituck to Riverhead, where we will take a break at Briermere. When we return to Mattituck, we can get a slice of pizza (if you want) and then go to the Magic Fountain Ice Cream for a treat (if you want)! {all food is at personal expense}
This is a C+ ride, which will average 12.5 - 12.9, depending on the weather and those in the group. The route may be flexible, due to the winds, so probably no cue sheets.
Please be aware the start is at the Mattituck Marketplace. Bathrooms available on Main Road in the CVS, across from the Magic Founatin.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2: I am limiting the nuber of riders on my rides, so you MUSTtext me with your Name, SBRA Member Number, and Emergency Contact phone number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
An alternative route from SSM to Manorville, which has been used by others including myself. I have eliminated the Horseblock Rd to Victory crossover by heading north on Station Road and taking a rt. on Sills. Caution will still be required as we cross the bridge over the train yards since there is virtually no shoulder.
I will ask that you please text me if you plan to join this ride. 631.804.0751
The ride AVERAGE will be in the high B to low B/B+ range depending on who shows and weather. Shared pulls will be appreciated.
Come out and join me for this ride from Maples in Manorville to Netties Bakery, where there are bathrooms available, as well as tasty delights! No one left behind ever. Questions call or text cell phone 631-484-1650
