NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Come out and join me for this ride from Bellport to ??? - destnation to be decided the morning of the ride. We will take a break - bathroom & food available.
This is a C+ ride which will average 12 - 12.5 (depending on the wind and the riders), we will be observing spacing rules, etc.
NOTE #1:You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2:I am limiting the number of riders on my rides, so you MUST text me with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
The ride takes us to a bagel store in Miller place at around mile 17. Then just a few miles back to the start. A mid B- ride. One gentle uphill and a steep downhill (which I take very carefully!).
Ii appreciate knowing if anyone is joining me - text me at 631 331 5642, but OK to make a last minute decision. Check for changes before you leave in the morning. If no one signs up I may change my plans.
Park in the south end of the lot. Easy, mostly back roads ride to the Quogue Wildlife Refuge for our break. Bring snack and drink. It's helpful if I know you are coming but not mandatory.
Off to Quogue with several scenic stops along the way. There will be indoor bathroom stops in Westhampton Beach and the Quogue Preserve, and a food stop at the pocket park in Westhampton Beach. To join, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your SBRA#, full name, and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:45am.
You can have a burger, fries and a beer for about $7.00. Beef tacos around a buck. There is no charge for the fun! Somewhere in the schedule is happy hour. Before you can eat we have to do a ride. The ride goes from Medford to Yaphank and and back to the start via Woodside. Unless the wind direction dictates another route.
If you want to join us but you are not riding please text me at 631.484.3490 by 1:30pm if you plan on coming. I need a head count for seating.
The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability, tailwinds, downhills, break-a-ways and other conditions. All of these conditions could change the final average one way or the other. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -18 mph.) to produce the average.
Note: Please park along the West, East & South sides of the parking lot. DON’T PARK in reserved spaces or, ANY SPACES on the NORTH side of the Building. If the spots are full park on the North side of the street.
Any cancellation due to weather, or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 1230 if necessary. If you have question about the ride, or the menue just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
