NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This will be about a 30 mile, B ride to McDonald's in Manorville. Distance and average are heat dependent. PLEASE BE FLEXABLE.
SHORT -- GULP and GO Water stops: 2 going & 1 on way back. MORE IF NEEDED
Pulls appreciated.
THE FINE PRINT, PLEASE NOTE: A fair question that is often asked is what will be the ride's average? This ride is posted as a B; however, recently our averages for previous rides have been in the lower 16s. Why is it posted as a B and not a B/B+? I want the group to realize that the average will be lower (closer to mid 15s) if it is hot, windy, or any rider is having maintaining the higher speeds. I know this is a vague explanation, but it's the best I got. The expectation is that the averge will be in the high 15s to low 16s. Hope this helps. Please text me if you have any questions.
Join me for this ride from Calverton, where we will ride on the back roads around Manorville, then go up toward Wildwood. We will take our break at the deli outside the park, where tables and a bathroom are available. This is a C+ ride, which will average 12.1 - 12.9, depending on the winds, etc. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there willnot be a cue sheet for this ride.
NOTE: I am limiting the number of riders on my rides, so text me with your name, SBRA Member Number, and Emerency Contact phone number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
For this Flat ride the Average speed is 11.5-12.5mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition with a distance of 18-22 miles. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be before 8:00am. No need to text me.
Park in south side lot across from RR station.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
