Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

On this ride we'll attack Area 51 from the South! Watch for the aliens creeping through Area 51! https://youtu.be/4KoqLHFc4LA
So this ride will have us heading northbound on Routes 51 and 24. This also means that we'll be riding down The Hill (hang on!), and then westbound on Mill Road! Let's work together in the winds, so no one is left alone and vulnerable for the aliens to attack...
As usual, this will be a paceline ride. Also, Please Note: There won't be any formal stop, just a couple of regroups as needed. This way we won't get cold sitting around at a long stop!
Today's’ route to Great River will change up a bit towards the end of the ride - if the wind is in our favor; making this route pretty flat except for 2 overpasses. We will go the usual route heading south using the Connetquot Park bike bath. We’ll work our way down to Heckscher Park, do a loop where one can stretch the legs a bit if desired. Pulling is appreciated! I would like to keep the road speed between 15 & 16mph and come in at an average between 14 and 15mph.
Off to Netti'e, which has indoor and outdoor eating areas, soup with a roll, and a great variety of baked goods. To join this ride, text Bill G.at 631-356-3036, with your full name and date of ride. Due to the crazy winter weather we have been having, please check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 08:00am.
Join me for this morning ride from SAYVILLE to ?? This will be an easy C ride to loosen up the legs, and will average 11.0 - 11.5.
The exact route will be determined at the start. Wherever we go there will be a bathroom stop & a food break. Since nothing is certain until we start, there will not be a cue sheet for this ride.
We may go for a slice of pizza after the ride (personal expense).
Please text me with your name, SBRA Member Number, and Emergency Contact phone number if you plan to ride.
