NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

The usual Monday ride. B+/A- pace: cruise at 19-22, avg 19ish. Midway stop at Wildwood Lake and waitups as needed. The last wait up will be at Mill Rd., CT Rd, Halsey Manor intersection (stop sign) if needed.
Start point changed - Park to the back right of the entrance, nearish to the glass recycling - but be careful of broken glass. No bathrooms that I know of at the beginning but there are some in Heritage park over the road so stop there first.
We'll cycle out to Shoreham, take in the view from the country club, visit the bagel shop and then return via the rail trail.
Please text if you are coming so I'm not riding alone.
On this ride, we'll leave from Southaven Park and ride out to Riverhead. Along the way, we'll hit River Road and North Street, leading us to Route 24 to Riverhead. This will be a paceline ride, and Route 24 is our favorite for pacelining.
After a bagel/coffee break in Riverhead, we'll return along the backroads of Riverhead to avoid the wind. Then it's River Road to Manorville and finally the long run down William Floyd (at your own pace), and the finsh at the Park.
The pace will be on the upper end of the B/B+ range, but we'll keep everyone together!
Join me for this ride from Calverton, where we will ride on the back roads around Manorville, then go up toward Wildwood. We will take our break at the deli outside the park, where tables and a bathroom are available. This is a C ride, which will average 11.1 - 11.6, depending on the winds, etc. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there willnot be a cue sheet for this ride.
Please text me with your menber number and Emergency Contact phone number if you want to ride.
