Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Off to Briermere Pies, with a brief viewing stop to see the Amercan Bison, if they are in a field near the road. Briermere's has bathrooms and picnic tables. If enough riders are interested, we can share the cost of a pie. You can also purchase individually sized baked goods, as well as hot drinks and water. To join, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name and ride destination. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:45am.
We will be doing a route to Patchogue. Think Woodside Ave, East direction only. I would like to come in between 13.8 and 14 mph., +/- a tad. Trying to build up distance and speed so all of us (if you want) can get back to riding a Low (14.5) B minus. In order to get this average we will be doing road speeds between 14.5 and 16 mph. Expect down hills to be faster. Things could change slightly due to the road conditions and the wind. We will take water breaks as necessary, no food stops. After the ride, if you want, we can go to the bagel shop and BS for awhile. Help in pulling the ride would be appreciated, but not required.
If you have any questions, or concerns please text me at 631.484.3490. Should there be a cancelation, or change it will be posted by 7:30am.
Join me for this morning ride from Sayvilleto Cookie's Deli. This will be a C+ ride and will average 11.8 - 12.5.
The exact route will be determined at the start. There is a bathroom and food at the deli. Since the route will be determined the morning of the ride, there will not be a cue sheet for this ride.

The old route through Stony Brook/Setauket. When we get to the hills, take whatever speed, fast or slow, and we'll meet at the top. Expect an average of 13+. No bathroom break, just a snack stop at the lighthouse. Any changes or cancellation will be posted by 8:00 morning of ride. New hill riders welcome.
Come join me at Veterans Park in Calverton (the old Grumman site) for a meander thru Manorville. It is a C ride, averaging 11-12 MPH. The cruising speeds will be 12-14 to get the average.
