NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Hill ride alternative route due to construction. We will do the hills with the regular regrouping. After the hills we'll head to 24/51/111
on the way there are some spirited sections where we will soft pedal afterwards to keep the group together Quick stop at the gas station more regrouping at the top of 51 and on Halsey Manor
Off to Shinnecock Inlet with great water views while you eat your snacks and relax on benches. Rest rooms available in Westhampton beach, coming and going, porta-potty at the Inlet, and restrooms at the Quogue Preserve. We will be riding East on Dune Road, which has much less traffic than going West towards Cupsogue. On our return, we stop at the pocket park in Westhampton, near a bakery and 7-11, and as previously stated, restrooms are availabe at the park. Bring snacks, water and sunscreen. It's over the rises and through the fields to Briermere Farms we go!
This will be a moderate paceline ride out to Briermere, where everyone stays together. NO surges and let's do smooth pulls, so everyone has a good ride!

Join me for this scenic C- ride,cruising speed will be 10-11 depending on the group. No one gets dropped.
We'll head from Sayville to Bayport to Blue Point, frequently taking advantage of the breeze off the bay. We'll stop at Corey beach for a bathroom break then off to Atlantic Ave Deli for a snack.Please bring water, and a spare tube.

Please be ready to roll at 6. A scenic tour of Strong's Neck, Old Field and West Meadow, there will be stops to look at the view and/or to let people catch up after the hills. A B- effort but because of the twists and turns plus inclines it will come in at a C+/B-. If people are late I will shorten the route.
BRING LIGHTS plus water and any necessary snacks - there will be a short stop at the lighthouse as long as the insects aren't biting.
After the ride some of us go to Green Cactus for dinner - it closes at 8:30 hence the early start.
