We Will ride along ocean parkway along the multiuse path begining at captree state park. Ride is listed as a c but we will adjust for wind and riders. forecast is for light winds. there are numerous bathrooms along the way, and snack bars at our turnaround at 14 miles.  Park at the west side of parking lot at the boat basin near the start of the path. start time is 8:30 and parking is free till 8am. Seniors 62 and up are always free on weekdays.

DELAYED UNTIL 9:30

Rain delay:  Ride delayed to 10:00am to give the roads a chance to dry.  Off to Briermere's, with a brief stop to view the American Bison on their farm, hopefully they will be in a field near the road. Briermere's has individually sized baked goods, if there are enough riders who want to split the cost of a pie, that is also an option. Hot and cold drinks are available, as are restrooms.  Picnic tables in the shade makes this a nice stop. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 08:15am.

Supposed to be a beautiful day and I have an appointment in the AM, so let's try a ride at high noon. It's a B, probably 30 miles to McDs.

A scenic tour of Strong's Neck, Old Field and West Meadow, there will be stops to look at the view and/or to let people catch up after the hills.  A B- effort but because of the twists and turns plus inclines it will probably come in at the top end of a C+/B-.  If people are late I will shorten the route even more!  If you are going to be late download the map so you can find us.  

BRING LIGHTS, plus water and any necessary snacks - there will be a short stop at the lighthouse as long as the insects aren't biting.

After the ride some of us go to Green Cactus for dinner.
