Join us for a remote start  Thunderbird Ride leaving Sunshine Mall,  as part of the Christine birthday rides.

The route will bring back some of those Old School favorites like Station Road and Mill Road through Yaphank (in both directions!). So, there will be some descending and climbing fun on the ride.  At around the 21 mile mark, we'll have a stop at the Manorville McDonalds. We will avoid the Horseblock-Victory deathtrap intersection on this ride!

Please, NO surges on the front of the paceline and let's ride together as a team,  not like a group of Freds!

 We will go the usual route heading south using the Connetquot Park bike bath. We’ll work our way down to Heckscher Park, do a loop where one can stretch the legs a bit if desired. At these speeds Pulling is Important ! I would like to keep the road speed  between 17 - 18 mph and come in at an average Hi 15 and Lo 16.     Good stuff after the ride.

Moving to Sunday. Help celebrate Christine's birthday "B" style with a ride to Manorville.

CHANGE: at the request of one of my riders, the start time is now 9:30.

Join me for this morning ride from SAYVILLE to ?? This will be a C+ ride and will average 12.2 - 12.8. The exact route will be determined at the start. Wherever we go there will be a bathroom stop & a food break. Since nothing is certain until we start, there will not be a cue sheet for this ride.

Park on the SOUTH side of the train station.

This is a scenic ride with multiple views of water. farms and vineyards. There will be a stop for lunch, and several breaks for water and snacks which all riders should bring. Timewise, this will be a long ride, so plan your day accordingly. The ride will head out along Peconic Bay,  and than head up to the L.I. Sound. We will than head out to Nassau Point (riders who don't want to do the hills to Nassau Point can hang out at the beach prior to the point, and we will pick you up on our way back).  There wil be a mandatory stop at the Magic Fountain in Mattituck (you don't have to buy their wonderful ice cream). We than go to Veteran's Park in New Suffolk for a bathroom stop, and head back to our cars. Note:  This ride is weather dependent, strong winds or rain will change or cancel this ride.
