Let's try to keep the Summer alive with a ride along the Peconic Bay out to Cutchogue! We'll start from the parking lot across from The Maples, head through Riverhead and take Peconic Bay Boulevard, eventually reaching Cutchogue.
We'll have a stop in Cutchogue at around 25 miles for a snack. Then it's back along Peconic Bay, through Riverhead and baxk to Manorville.
Due to the famous North Fork winds, the average will be a low B+ or high B/B+. So, plan on an endurance pace without surges off the front of the paceline!
Lets get some miles in and get ready for the upcoming Fall century rides.
Join me for this C+ ride, which will average 12.0 -12.8; no one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride route will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets. We will either head to Blue Point or to the Smith Point Marina for our break; there will be a bathroom stop.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride you must text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
