This is the usual route out to Manorville with an optional Mill loop for anyone that wants to do some rollers. If you don't want to do those then you can peel off and go with anyone wanting to skip that part of the ride. The pace is the same as what we have been doing for the past few weeks.
The North Port VA Medical Center is having a Summer BBQ at 11:am on Sat, August 17. This ride will start at Key Food Shopping Center in KIngs Park just south of the Kings Park RR on RTE 25A. The ride will take us through Northport up to Asharoken Neck and then to the VA Golf Course/Hospital in Northport. We will join the festivities for apx one hour and then have a 5 mile ride back to our cars. I tried to keep the elevation as low as possible, and ended up with 1371 ft elevation on a this 30 mile ride.
Sorry I have to cancel, but a family obligation came up.
Join me for this C ride, which will average 11.5 - 12.0; no one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride route will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets. We will either head to Blue Point or to Oakdale for our break; there will be a bathroom stop.

So, join us for a ride from the Kreb Cycle in Eastport out to Southampton, where we'll have a food stop at the Citarella store.
The pace will be a high B/B+, probably in the high 16 MPH range or low 17s. So, we don't burn anyone out, but we still get back home at a reasonable time.
The route eastbound takes us along the shoreline through Remsenberg, Quogue, Westhampton and Shinnecock to Southampton.
Then, after the food stop, we'll head back west along a more direct route, following Montauk Highway and Old Country Road, back to Eastport.
NOTE: Remember to park in the parking lot behind the bike store, in the northwest cormer of the lot.
This C+ ride of 18-25 miles will average 11.5-12.5mph. Bring snack/hydration as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition.
