Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to the Beach. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there. The average pace for the ride will be between 15 to 15.9 mph, depending on the roads and wind direction. The road speed will be between 16.0 and 17.0 mph. The usual break-a-ways will happen for those who desire. We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack. Do you know what AGUAPANELA is? Come and find out. Pulls are always appreciated.
Join me for this easy and almost completely flat ride from Mattituck to ?? We will take a break somewhere with a bathroom. We will most likely go yo the Magic Fountain Ice Cream for a treat (if you want) after the ride! {all food is at personal expense}
This is a C+ ride, which will average 12.1 - 12.6, depending on the weather and those in the group. The route may be flexible, due to the winds, so probably no cue sheets.
Please be aware the start is at the Mattituck Marketplace. Bathrooms available on Main Road in the CVS, across from the Magic Founatin and in the Marketplace food store.

Vaccine reaction got in the way last week, so we try again. Come join us for a Moriches exploration as we head down from Maples and ride around the Moriches exploring roads and dead ends with water views. All and all, 35 or so miles with lots and lots of turns (which should slow the average speed). There is a chance for a bonus 2.5 miles, which will be a game day decision.
We will not be making a stop to buy lunch during the ride. However, there will be a number of scenic and other stops along the way, so please bring any food or snacks you may want or need as well as sufficient hydration. Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore and discover.
To join the ride or if you have questions, please text Bill Mastro at 917-921-5358. I usually send the final ridewithgps file to those that text me. Any updates or weather issues will be posted to the ride listing by 7:15 on the day of the ride.
A scenic tour of Smithtown’s beaches. We'll cruise at a brisk B- on the flats, faster downhill and whatever you need uphill.
