Sorry, but weather forecast doesn't look good for the next few days. I will try to reschedule for Mon or Tues. Please check back periodically for updates.
Ride moved to Tues morning and departure time changed to 9am.
Route is TBA. I'm currently out of town and need to check weather and potential traffic problems. I was initially thinking Sunshine Mall to Hampton Bays but with it being Memorial Day weekend I think we should stay away from the Hamptons. Possibly East Islip to Smith Point. I will provide update by Friday afternoon.
Team effort ride. We will try to come in with an adv speed in the A+ range (21-22) depending on circumstances of the day. This route tends to be fast with westerly tail winds out and some shelter on the route back.
Please let me know if you are coming on the ride. 631 542 3137. Or you can email me [susan.m.sears@gmail.com]
We will stop at Werteim for bathrooms (mile 7) also bathrooms at Osprey and Smithpoint beaches. Main stop will be Smithpoint at mile 19.
This will be a gently relaxed ride, looking at the view! I am having IT band issues so will no be going fast - average a mid B-, unless I feel better!!!
Let's welcome in Jume with another Lake tour, but at a B+/A-classification and on a TUESDAY. This ride will bridge the B and A classes, so we'll ride at a steady pace between 19-21 mph with some wiggle room on either side of the range. Wait-ups will be provided as needed, especially on the return on Mill Rd. at the intersection of Halsey Manor, Connecticut, and Mill (stop sign). A smooth and steady pace is key for this recreational ride.
Don't forget to wear your patriotic kit in honor of our vets for Memorial Day (better late than never).
Note: This Lake Tour ride has been bumped up to a B+/A- from a B+. Send me a text if you have questions about the ride. Hope to see you there.
Click on the link below to view or download the ride.

This ride will take us around the Holbrook area, and then up to Ronkonkoma before turning around, heading south, back to Holbrook. At the end of the ride we can all go for coffee and a bagel and chat as usual, if you want. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.8 & 15.0 mph; +/-. Naturally the road speed will be higher (15-17) to produce the average. This short ride has 3 break-a-ways. One rolling, and 2 downhill's to a flat. Up hills - let's call it an overpass and a short upgrade. The ride could be a mile or two longer. No worries, I know you can do it! Remember the bagel waits for you!
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0730 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...

This is a slower group than Dan's. We will stay true to the B+/A- pace with a maximum cruising speed of 23 (max sustained speed) Maybe we'll shoot for 20 depending on wind and hills. Strive for a smooth steady effort.

This ride will average 12.5 - 13.1. We will ride from Sayville toward Oakdale, then back past Sayville and loop around Patchogue. We will take our break at the Atlantic Ave. Deli. and a bathroom stop will be made on the way to, or from, our break. The exact route will be determined the morning of the ride, so there will not be cue sheets.
Park on the south side of the train station.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2: rides at this time are limited. You MUST text me (CELL #: 631-523-2129) with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled.
Our usual ride out to Manorville at a pace where we all stay together. Break is around mile 19..average will be around 16.9-17 with moving speed between 17.5 and 18.5. This is where we have been coming in most every ride. Please text to let me know you are coming.
Think we should give Manorville our company today. We will do almost the same route as the last time I did this, with the exception of a hill, and and a slight increase in the mileage. Not to worry you can do it! The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability or other conditions. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average. A rest/ food stop at McDonald’s or the bagel shop is on the schedule around mile 18. There are a few places along the route a break-a-way can be done for those who wish to do so. The ride could end up a mile longer, but no more that that unless I get lost. Then again, that might make the ride shorter so I won't get lost.
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
Park near the main road behind the deli. No bathrooms at the start of the ride but there used to be a portapotty at Cedar Beach around mile 7.
We can stop at the Greenport deli (mile 17), if anyone needs coffee. THe main stop will be at Orient State park beach where there are bathrooms - not sure if there will be any food available so bring whatever you desire along. Back via the lighthouse. At the end of the ride I will be driving to Mattituck for ice cream!
Route is rolling, no major hills. We will hopefully average around a mid B- but it depends on the wind and the riders.
Please let me know if you are coming on the ride, text 631 542 3137 or 631 331 5642 If you give me the info I will prefill the ride sheet. Full name SBRA#, emerg phone#.
I think we see some water ahead, so I guess we'll be heading to Cupsogue Beach. We'll get there by the southern route along a lightly rolling route.
The return takes us north, where we'll encounter the portal to Hell where the golf balls fly. Perhaps Didi will be chasing us up the rises to encourage us to keep moving: https://youtu.be/lh5Y_oCwW-w Then it's a return via Route 24 and back to Manorville.
There will be several options to cut the distance, depending on the group.
Tiger sharks and Hammerheads are welcome, as long as they ride with a pace that keeps the group together. Otherwise, they'll be sprayed with shark repellant and subjected to Ramoras to slow them down.
Easy Sunday ride through the 3 villages. Wait ups on hills if needed. Please text me your name, SBRA ID #, emergency contact and emergency phone # Meet at the Stony Brook train station parking lot.
CHANGE: WE COULD NOT RIDE LAST WEEK DUE TO THE RAIN, SO WE ARE GIVING IT A SHOT TODAY.
Join us for this easy and almost completely flat ride from Mattituck to Riverhead, where we will take a break at Briermere. When we return to Mattituck, we can get a slice of pizza (if you want) and then go to the Magic Fountain Ice Cream for a treat (if you want)! {all food is at personal expense}
This is now a C+/B- ride, with an average pace of 13.5 - 14.1, depending on the weather and those in the group. The route may be flexible, due to the winds, so probably no cue sheets.
Please be aware the start is at the Mattituck Marketplace. Bathrooms available on Main Road in the CVS, across from the Magic Founatin.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2: the number of riders is limited. You MUSTtext me with your Name, SBRA Member Number, and Emergency Contact phone number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
Today's’ route to Great River will change up a bit towards the end of the ride, if the wind is in our favor; making this route pretty flat except for 2 overpasses. We will go the usual route heading south using the Connetquot Park bike bath. We’ll work our way down to Heckscher Park, do a loop where one can stretch the legs a bit if desired. The ride could end end up a mile or 2 over 30.
The average pace for this ride will be between 14.5 & 15.0 +/- mph, or what conditions allow. The road speed will be between 15 and 17.0 mph.
Please DO NOT PARK in the Meat Farms parking lot. Use the west side of the bank if the east side is full. Thanks!
We’ll be making a rest stop around mile 19 at the deli/bakery. The route back will be determined by the wind direction. Good Stuff after the Ride.
Any cancellations due to unforeseeable circumstances, or weather related problems will be posted by 0700 If you have any questions about this ride, please TEXT my cell, 631-484-3490.
This is a celebratory ride welcoming back Harry S. to SBRA after Hip replacement surgery. We will be taking it easy for Harry’s to make certain there is no clicking or chatter from his new parts. This is a C+/B ride so the place will be slower we will average in the 14 range. The ride is not about the speed, it is a ride to welcome back a good friend and a missed SBRA member.
Off to the scenic Shinnecock Inlet, with 15 miles on Dune Road. Bathroom stops coming and going, with a porta-pottie at Shinnecock Inlet. Bring food/snacks and drinks for our Inlet stop, and at mile 30 we stop at a pocket park in Westhampton Beach, which is a few steps from the Westhampton Beach Bakery. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name, date of ride and your SBRA, emergency and cell numbers. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:30am.
Join me for a pace line tour of 3 Sufolk County lakes, Panamoka, Peconic, and Wildwood Lake in Southampton/Riverhead. This is a B+/A- ride so we will cruise at 19 to 22 mph and end with an average of 18-19 ish. Surging off the front is not allowed. A smooth and predictable pace line is the goal as this is a recreational ride for all to enjoy. We are not interested in how fast that one may ride, but how smooth and steady one can lead and ride in the paceline at the above mentioned rates. Hope you can join me. If you have any questions please text me at 631-618-1948.
You can view and/or download the ride at the link below;
Off to Bean and Bagel, with great outdoor seating and indoor bathrooms. To join, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name, date of ride and your SBRA, emergency and cell numbers. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:00am.
Join me for this C+ ride, which will average 12 - 12.5. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride destination will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets. We will head to the Atlantic Ave. Deli for our break and there will be a bathroom stop.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.

This will be an endurance ride: lock in 20.5 mph on the flats for the duration. There will be three stops along the way: the 20-, 45-, and 60 mile point. The first two under five minutes, and the final pit stop at Main Road Biscuit for a little longer. I hope to see you for a pleasurable ride.
Park in the lot closest to Montauk Highway. Heading to Manorville (McD's, 7-11, bagel store). A little earlier start since it looks to be a warm day. A few hills but done at your own pace. Always check back for any changes which would be made by 7 am.
We will go to Patchogue, or Around Holbrook depending on the wind direction. If we do Holbrook it will be about 24 miles. If we do Patchogue figure about 27 miles. Patchogue equals McDonalds. Holbrook means a bagel after the ride. The road speed will be 15.5/17. Pulling is always appreciated. We'll come in with a B minus average plus or minus a few.
The average could be higher if we find a big downhill with the wind at our back. It could also be lower, if we find a big hill with a head wind, and we decide to walk. Then again, the whole ride could change, so stay flexible, not ridged, it's the Tuesday ride. We're supposed to have fun. If you want to do Ronkonkoma again, we can do that. This is just a very indecisive morning for me. Ah, maybe it will rain, or snow, or the groundhog will see its shadow. Opps, I think that happened. Think I'm done talking about this ride - my attempt at humor is getting skewed.
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
I'm leading Mike F's Taco ride this week, and we'll keep it at a B- ride, averaging 14.5 mph with cruising speeds of 15-18 mph. Pretty much the same route in Great River and East Islip, with 2 loops in Heckscher State Park. Tacos at Jackson Hall after the ride, at 5:15 or so.
Moderate/fast paced B/B+ South Shore ride with possibly some park loops at the end. Riders will have the ability to "stretch legs" at some points during the ride with wait-ups to regroup as needed. No one gets dropped. Route changes slightly depending on weather/wind so mileage subject to +/- 10% differential.
No need to be 20 mins early - just be ready to ride by 4:00pm.
The route is still TBD, but for now the mileage will be a minimum of 18 miles, I'd like to stretch it out to 20 miles. Wherever we go, we'll make a stop in the park first for the restrooms before continuing the ride. Since there won't be a food break, please pack a snack and drinks for when we break.
If interested in doing this ride, please text me at 631-521-0688 prior to 9:00pm (M-F) and provide me with your member #, contact and emergency telephone number.
Check back for any changes/cancellations which will be posted no later than 3:00 PM the day of the ride. No go in rain.

Usual route to McDs in Manorville. Speed a LITTLE faster than last week SO the average will be in the fast B or slow B/B+ range. Let's take it a little easy up Victory and Weeks so we don't kill the ride leader. You are free to fly on Floyd to the park entrance and up Woodside hill where an easing of the pace at the top will help all get attached. Questions text me. 631 804-0751.
SORRY, BUT i'M TOTALLY CHANGING TODAYS RIDE DUE TO THE VERY IFFY WEATHER FORCAST FOR WEDNESDAY. RIDE TO START IN YAPHANK AND GO OUT TO MANORVILLE:

Starting from the Maples we will travel down Dune Road to our rest stop at Ponquogue Beach. We will then head up to Red Creek, Pleasure Drive, the Golf Course, and 51 and 111. Let's make this an endurance ride to keep building our base with no surging. Wait ups as needed, hope to see you there.
Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to Smith’s Point. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there and of course there must be one little hill. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.8 to 15.0 +/- mph, depending on the roads and wind direction. The road speed will be between 15.5 and 17.0 mph.
We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack. Do you know what AGUAPANELA is? Come and find out.
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0730 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just TEXT me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will do a meet and greet in a reasonable amount of time...

The normal route around Strong's Neck, Old Field then to West Meadow Beach. We can see if the sundial is still working!
Scenic ride, stops to look at the view and wait ups after the hills. We will be taking it at a leisurly pace. There are some stretches where faster riders can go ahead.
After the ride I will be going to Green Cactus for a burrito.
If you want to come on the ride please text me 631 331 5642 - with the information I need to prefill the ride sheet. Thanks.
Join me for this evening ride around Ronkonkoma and the surrounding areas. This will be an easy C+, with a ride average between 12.0 - 12.8 (possibly faster, depending on the riders, winds, etc.). The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. There should be plenty of daylight for the ride, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time. PARK on the North side of the train station East of Main Terminal.

Sorry for the late posting ... The ride is relatively flat and will be a fast B pace unless we choose to do the hills in Shoreham (see below). The route has a three mile optional down/up hill loop in Shoreham at the 3/4 point of the ride that we can skip or do just the less challenging long hill from the country club. The link to the route is below my text and includes the optional hill. Take a look at the ride elevation profile.
PLEASE text (@ 631-988-6557) or email @ [nsamuels@ optonline.net] with your rider information (Name, Member #, Emergency #, Cell #). IF I don't receive any text messages I may vary the start time a bit.
You must have a mask on your person to do this ride ... no need to wear it while riding .
We'll be stopping for a scheduled break at the 20 mile point of the ride.
This ride is C ride for those who are lookng for a slower ride. We will average 11.3 - 11.9. There are some very nice water views along the way. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.

A steady cruise of 20 - 23 mph. I'm looking to keep a consistent pace. We should end up with an average speed between 20-21mph. Anyone wishing to show mommy how fast they can ride, feel free. I'll see you at the finish.
Off to Nettie's for some great treats, plenty of outdoor seating, and indoor restrooms. To join, text Bill G. 631-356-3036 with your SBRA, emergency and cell numbers, your full name, and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:00am.

We will head to Blue Point, loop around Corey Beach, and stop at the Atlantic Ave. Deli for our break, and there will be a bathroom stop.

Let's ride out to the Bellport docks sticking close to the shore and checking out the beautiful views along the way. We'll warm up to an average cruising speed of 15-17mph. There will be the option of stopping at the deli or a slice of pizza, before heading back to Oakdale.
If you plan on riding, please text me at 631-521-0688 so I can fill out the sign in sheet.
Any changes/cancellations will be posted by 7:00 AM the day of the ride.
This route WILL NOT include the long hill we did last week! We will do almost the same route as the last week without the hill. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability or other conditions. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average. A rest/ food stop at McDonald’s or the bagel shop is on the schedule around mile 20. There are a few places along the route a break-a-way can be done for those who wish to do so. The ride could end up a mile longer, but no more that that unless I get lost. Then again, that might make the ride shorter so I won't get lost. No matter what it is I know you can do it!
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
Well it's been some time since we did the Manorville to Mattituck run, so let's do it. Start time will remain at 9:00 AM, as things will be much cooler this weekend! We'll leave the South Street School and head out to the Country: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oPInSfh6H4 We'll head along the north route, picking-up Sound Avenue for a high speed cruise to Mattituck. And no, there will be no Tanks on this ride - no break for the climbers. For those who want a real challenge,we'll bring back the Mattituck Sign Sprint.
There will be a stop at either Briemere Farms or the shopping center in Mattituck for a food and rest stop.
The return will bring us along scenic Peconic Bay Boulevard to Riverhead and Route 24. After a run up Route 24, we'll hit Grumman Boulevard and eventually home.
The plan is to ride as a team with everyone working together. That means no getting on the front of the paceline and pushing-up the pace. Let's not drop anyone; it's going to be a long ride to be out solo.
Explore both sides of the Nissequogue River with many scenic views.
We plan to cruise about 17 on the flats but slower on the uphills so B- average speed. Wait ups on the tougher hills. One rest stop with bathrooms about half way but no deli stop so pack your snacks.
Sayville Bluepoint Loops Ride from the Sayville Train Station a little west then check out the water in West Sayville, Sayville, Bayport marshes, pirate ship and bayfront. Then the Bluepoint marina, Patchogue river and whew! A break at the Atlantic Ave Deli. Easy C pace with several water stops and many bathroom opportunities. C pace, no one gets left behind. Text your Name, club number and emergency contact phone number to me. Bring a mask and money for the deli. 22 miles
This is a C+/B- ride, which will average 13.5 - 14.0, partly depending on the winds, the riders, etc. Since the exact route will be determined at the start, so there willnot be a cue sheet for this ride. We will ride part of Dune Road (direction determined by the winds that day) and then take our break in Westhampton at the Beach Bakery, where bathrooms and food are available.(actually tomorrow) and we will probably meet up for some pizza (personal expense) after the ride. Check the calendar to select your ride and follow the ride leader's instructions regarding signing up for a ride!
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...

This is a B+/A- ride that will cruise at 18 to 21 mph with variations (+/-) depending on the wind and hills. We should average around 19.0 mph. A smooth and predictable pace line is the goal so no surging unless it is approved in writing 24 hours in advance. In the event of rain I will post any changes here by 6:30 AM on the day of the ride. Feel free to text me with any questions at 631-618-1948.
Use the link below to view and/or download the ride:

This ride will take us around the Holbrook area, and then up to Ronkonkoma before turning around, heading south, back to Holbrook. At the end of the ride we can all go for coffee and a bagel and chat as usual, if you want. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.8 & 15.0 mph; +/-. Naturally the road speed will be higher (15-17) to produce the average. This short ride has 3 break-a-ways. One rolling, and 2 downhill's to a flat. Up hills - let's call it an overpass and a short upgrade. The ride could be a mile longer. No worries, I know you can do it! Remember the bagel waits for you!
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
Riding out of the Yaphank lot opposite the Firehouse; we'll warm-up going up Mill. By the time we get to 25 we shoud be warmed up and ready to cruise east. I've listed as an A but that depends on the weather, how many riders we have our conditioning and other factors could go up or down a catagory. As usual, a smooth pace and keep the group together is the goal.
The ride is changed to a Calverton/Manorville Meander. The ride will use the Grumman Trail and local roads so we will never be more than a few miles from our parked cars in the event of a storm. Stop will be at Bean and Bagel, which has an outdoor tent, or McDonalds in Manorville. Mileage will depend on weather. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your SBRA, emergency and cell numbers, your full name, and date of the ride. We will ride from Sayville RR Station to the Yaphank Deli where we will break. I haven't done this ride ever before so the route will be new to me as well as everyone. The mileage should be around 34-miles in total. Do not kill the ride leader if it is 1-2 miles more or less. The pace will be B- and we should average around 15, the road speed will be 14-18 so that we can average around the 15 mph.
Please check ride calendar by 7:30 am day of ride in case of cancellation.
We will be doing a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg and Westhampton Beach. The average pace will be between 14.9 and 15.0 mph. +/- depending on the wind, road conditions, geese, ducks, squirrels, and rabbits. Road speed will be between 15 & 17 mph. We might end up with an extra mile or two, but that's it. Pulling is always appreciated.

Well we could have called this MTM-2 or MTM-revised, but we didn't. This time we'll drop Sound Avenue as we head from Manorville to Mattituck, and for a change we'll hit Main Road/Route 25 with some nice wide shoulders. Mattituck comes up at around 30 miles, so bring some large water bottles and some fuel.
The Change is that it will be a little longer and Margaret Ziel will be leading the ride because she knows the area. Questions text or call Cell 631-484-1650 . Headed out to Montauk finishing in the town of Montauk If you want to go to the Light House be me guest but I will be stopping in the town. Parking at Hampton Bays LIRR is free and unrestricted.
Thanks!

The Lake Tour ride passes the 3 Great Lakes of Eastern Suffolk County, Lake Panamoka, Peconic Lake, and Wildwood Lake (in Southhampton/Riverhead). Cruising speed will be 19-22 with variations for wind, hills, and weather (+/-). The average usually comes in around 19 mph (+-). My goal is a smooth and predictableB+/A- paceline ride. Surging is frowned upon unless you are surging (dropping) off the back. There will be waitups as needed and the last one will be on Mill Rd at the intersection of Halsey Manor, Connecticut and Mill. Wildwood Lake is the half way point and besides the nice view with photo op, there is a very clean and pleasant smelling porta potty, probably the nicest one in Suffolk County.
Monday is the Summer Solstice and therefore the longest day of the year (most daylight) so maybe we can tack on a few miles after the Wildwood Lake stop if all agree. If you have any questions feel free to text me. Hope to see you there.
View and/or download the ride with the link below:
Let's try this again without any raindrops and wet roads! Bring a snack as we won't make a formal deli stop. Lots of back roads, easy pace. It's helpful if you let me know you are coming.
Usual ride out of Yaphank. This should be a steady fast ride; after a warm-up getting to Rt25A we'll catch the prevailing westerly winds (hopefully) and sail out to the Exxon/7-11 for a quick break. Return on Mill. Should be fun, how you can make it. Route posted below.
Going To Change The Route And The Distance Due To Rain Later. Don't Want To Get Caught In It. Distance now 22 Miles.
We will go to Patchogue today. The road speed will be 15.5/17.0 Pulling is always appreciated. We'll come in with a B minus average plus or minus a few. We can go to Mc Donalds if you want, but I would like to try a new stop. It will be the same disatance; about the 20 mile mark. This route is is a little rolly on Woodside. Then going back we have a small hill, real small. Not to worry you can all do it, no biggie. Remember if you have troubble going up hills bring a rope and I will pull you, or we could both fall. Forget that idea!
Any cancellation due to weather, or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
CANCELLED DUE TO THE RAIN FORECAST. Sorry, no tacos today!
I'm leading Mike F's Taco ride this week, and it'll be a fast B- ride, averaging 15 mph with cruising speeds of 15-18 mph. Pretty much the same route in Great River and East Islip, but with 2 loops in Heckscher State Park.
Weather looks iffy on Tuesday, so please check back.
No need to be 20 mins early - just be ready to ride by 3:45pm.
Usual route to Manorville. The average will be in the B/B+ range. Let's take it a little easy up Victory and Weeks so we don't kill the ride leader. You are free to fly on Floyd to the park entrance and up Woodside hill where an easing of the pace at the top will help all get attached. Since McDs closed for alterations we will either go to Wendy's or Dunkin Donuts for rest stop. Starbucks is another possibility.
If you are coming and want me to sign you in, text me your information
Join us for this easy and almost completely flat ride from Mattituck to Riverhead, where we will take a break at Briermere. When we return to Mattituck, we can get a slice of pizza (if you want) and then go to the Magic Fountain Ice Cream for a treat (if you want)! {all food is at personal expense}

Please download route below. See you Saturday!
We'd all like perfect weather, roads and no traffic, but the summer brings an increase in traffic. So hopefully we'll have a safe compromise for a route out to Briermere Farms, where we'll have a stop at around 21 miles.
We'll take the north route out East, and we'll head down to Route 25 and follow the South route for the return. (With a new tweak). And you'll get what you need!
Ride to Westhampton Beach Bakery where we'll stop for some morning treats. We'll take some scenic side roads along the way and then hit Dune Road for a short stretch before going to the bakery. At the end of the ride we'll stop in for a pint at BPB. Rest stops as needed. No one gets dropped.
No need to be 20mins early. Just be ready to ride at 8:30am.
Park somewhere between Blue Point Brewery and the YMCA. SBRA ride location should be modified since BPB replaced Briarcliff.
Join me for this scenic C ride, cruising speed will be 10-11 depending on the group. No one gets dropped.
We will meander around some quiet back roads of East Islip, stop at the beach for a snack, depending on the weather. This is my last ride leader ride while fully employed. All future rides will be much more thought out and adventurous. NAH! not really. But there will be more Monday to Friday rides instead of just weekend rides.
This ride will be from Oakdale RR station to Babylon docks where we will enjoy delicious breakfast sandwiches at the Delica Deli, On our return to Oakdale we enjoy some beverages to celebrate my last couple of days before fully retired.
Please check ride calendar for cancellation due to weather or personal circumstances will be posted day of ride by 7:30am
The ususal ride out to Manorville but this week our rest stop will be at a different location TBD. For the next 3 weeks McDonals will be under going renovations so this is no longer an option.
Please text me to let me know you are coming. 631-747-3464
This Saturday we will go to Manorville. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability, tailwinds, downhills, break-a-ways and other conditions. All of these conditions could change the final average. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average. Mc Donalds is having construction done. Therefore we will change the route up a bit and make a stop at Wendy's or DD around mile 20. There are a few places along the route a break-a-way can be done for those who wish to do so. The ride could end up a mile or two longer, but no more that. No matter what it is I know you can do it!
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...

No bathrooms at start. Bathrooms at West Meadow Beach. There is also a Dunkin Donuts around mile 8 if necessary.
Park at the back left hand side of the car park. This is a scenic ride. There are hills but wait we wait up, no one will be left behind. The advantage of going up hills is that you get to go down again! There are places where the faster riders can go ahead. We do stop for views. We visit Poquot, Strong's neck, Old field and West meadow Beach. If the beach looks crowded we will not go along Trustees Road.
Bring snacks along with you, there is no bakery stop!!! Bring plenty of water.
Its Not Mother's Day. Its Not Father's Day...Its Just a Happy Day...Lets Have Some Fun!!
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
Come out and join me for this ride from Eastport King Kullen to West Hampton Bakery, where there are bathrooms available, as well as tasty delights! Questions call or text cell phone 631-484-1650
Be sure to bring water and sun screen as the weather is now getting hotter. For this Flat ride the Average speed is 11-12.5mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be by before 8:30am. No need to text me.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
If it is too hot we will cut off 10 miles after the ice cream and come back along the new bike path.
Date and time Changed
It's going to be hot today so let's get some ice cream in Mt Sinai!
There are no bathrooms at the start of the ride. Hopefully there are some at McNulty's.
Bring plenty of water, money if you want ice cream, and a sense of humour. This ride does not have much in the way of hills, just a few gently inclines and wait ups will be provided. We will make frequent stops for water breaks.
Please let me know you are coming on the ride 631 331 5642.
EARLIER - starting at 8:30 to avoid some of the heat
CHANGE: at the request of a member who has been out of town, I have changed this to a C ride.
Come out and join me for this ride from Bellport to the Smith Point Marina. We will make a bathroom stop at Weirtheim, followed by a quick stop at 7-11 for any snacks or beverages, and then on to the Marina for our break.
This is a C ride which will average 11.2 - 11.6 (depending on the wind and the riders), we will be observing spacing rules, etc.
Since I will be deciding the route as we are riding, there will not be a cue sheet.
NOTE #1:You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2:riders at this time are limited. You MUST text me with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 25 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15 mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 1:00pm day of ride.
If you are planning on riding please text/RSVP your name, ID #, and EMG contact # to Mike at 516 448-8545.
At the end of the ride we will meet up with Mike Fiorella's group for Taco Tues at Jackson Hall (next to BoA parking lot). $3 tacos and $6 margarita's all night long!!!
No need to be 20 mins early - just be ready to ride by 3:45pm.
Going to change start time to 8:00 because of heat forecast.
Usual route to Manorville. The average will be in the B/B+ range. Let's take it a little easy up Victory and Weeks so we don't kill the ride leader. You are free to fly on Floyd to the park entrance and up Woodside hill where an easing of the pace at the top will help all get attached. Since McDs is closed for alterations, we will go to Dunkin Donuts for rest stop.
If you can let me know you are coming, I can sign you in.
Time change to 9:00 to try and beat a bit of the heat.
If it is too hot the ride will be altered - we will wave at Nassau pt from the beach and not do Oregon as there is no shade. Plus extra water stops.
This is my last ride before I leave for the UK - normal service will resume after Aug 4th!
Please text me to join this ride. 631 331 5642
No bathroom at start but can stop after 1 1/2 miles for the one at Vets beach. Going to Nassau Beach, Paradise point, and Horton Pt lighthouse. Scenic ride, stops for views and water breaks. Deli at mile 26 if needed, otherwise we will stop at the Lighthouse for a break - bring own snack etc. An extra mile at the end will take you to the ice cream store or you can drive there.
Come out and join me for this ride from Caleverton to Briermere Farms, where there are bathrooms available, as well as tasty delights! No One Left Behind Ever Questions call or text cell phone 631-484-1650
Join me for this evening ride from SAYVILLE around the surrounding areas. This will be an easy C+, with a ride average between 12.2 - 12.7. We are starting at 6 PM and will have plenty of daylight, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time.
