UPDATE – 2/5/2016 – 10:45AM - I really don’t see the roads clearing up by ride time on Saturday that’s why this ride is CANCELED. I have spoken to the birthday boy about this. On Saturday I will make a decision on Sunday’s ride; more than likely it will be canceled as well.

This is my usual “Eastport Scenic Ride” but, for today we’ll call it Bernie’s Birthday Ride. We will be taking a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg and Westhampton Beach. The average pace will be 14.7 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, snow geese, snow melt, and that goat you see once in awhile. If the conditions are right, depending on who shows, the ride might be a tad in the lower "B" range. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average. There will be the usual spots for leg stretches. Around mile 22 we’ll stop at the Beach Bakery for some goodies and a bathroom break before heading back to the start. While there we can sing Happy Birthday to Bernie and see if he blushes.
