Wind chills in single digits for both Sat. and Sun., Ride is cancelled.  Will repost for next weekend.  On  the metric ride there is plenty of time to get practice mileage in. Elaine Sullivan and I invite you to join us in a series of leader led rides, of increasing distance, to practice for the Metric Century.  Only SBRA members can participate in the Metric Century (see the flyer on the SBRA website).  You need to complete the entry form, and send it in by specified dates, if you wish to participate in the event.  Rides will be on Saturdays, with Sunday raindates.  You may ride with us on an individual ride even if you do not expect to do the metric century.   I will lead the first ride, for information contact Bill Gravitz at 631-356-3036.  Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for any changes, which would be posted by 07:30am.  Information on practice rides 2 thru 10 will be posted at a later date.  If you haven't been riding thru the winter, please make sure your bike is in working order and properly equipped with extra tubes, lights, water carrier, etc.
