First there were the Early Birds, then there were the Snowbirds (thanks Al Kelly), and the Charlie Birds evolved from the Early Birds. So, it seemed only fitting that the group that leaves every Saturday from South St. School for some B+ (or so) fun, have a name, and that name should have a bird in it. So, to start the new SBRA season off, we'll call the group the Thunderbirds! No, the Thunderbird name isn't inspired by the famed Air Force team, or the Ford car (but I'll take a 1957, if you have one free), nor the famed wine (though it probably beats the craft beer favored by some); NO it's from the multiple TV series and movies!

We'll try to keep riding every Saturday, through the winter, weather conditions permitting. On occasion, we'll venture into Area 51, in which case the ride will be posted as an Area 51 ride. So, get your winter gear ready for a season of fun.
Oh, the ride...
Leave the South Street School for a ride including Mill Road and River Road, as we had east to Briermere Farms, where we'll have a quick rest stop. On the return, we'll ride through back roads such as Deep Hole, avoiding the wind. The plan is that we will all stay together, as it will be our first cold weather ride and we don't want to leave anyone riding solo in the cold wind.
When others say no, the Thunderbirds are go!
Scratching your head why this all sounds familiar, well here's the original show: https://youtu.be/BfIAKj3Gl1E ...
