10/9 a.m. update:  Looks like rain is a sure thing through the afternoon...ride is canceled.

Parking note:  Parking may be tight at the Stony Brook RR lot now.  If there isn't a spot, you can park in back of Sterling National Bank, just past the Quaker Path traffic light, and meet us in the RR parking lot. 

Sunset is at 6:20pm, so bring lights if you have them and wear brighter clothing.

Join us as we travel scenic backroads thru the Stony Brook-Setauket area: historic places, great views, great sunsets, great folks. We are a diverse group out for an enjoyable ride and fun nite.  

The ride classification takes into account the rolling/hill route, often finishing around 13.1-13.7. There are wait ups after climbs and places to stretch your legs ahead... but please note this is not a "race ride".  Dinner afterwards for those interested.
