NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

**Update – 1/4/2015 – 6:30AM – It probably will be raining all day so the ride is CANCELED. It figures, temps in the 50’s and rain, oh well; see you Wednesday**

How about taking a ride to Great River today? We will go the usual route through Connetquot Park and then do a loop in Heckscher Park where one can stretch the legs a bit. The route is mostly flat with 2 little hills; maybe 3. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.5. & 15.0 mph, depending on the wind and other factors. The road speed will be 15-17 mph to produce the average. We will be making a deli/rest stop somewhere between miles 18 and 20. After the ride cookies and supplies; I think. Maybe a sale at Guinta's, who knows.

Come explore in Glacier Ridge ... EAST of Rt 112! ... we'll start on the regular blue intermediate trail and take one black diamond (Ya gotta be there to find out which one!) heading out toward Rt. 112 as we venture to explore the new eastern trails. The temps are forecast to be 19F w/o wind chill). More maybe posted for this ride at a later date. NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND IN THE WOODS! We will do at least one black diamond on the new east trail.

Check back to this posting during the coming days as things in life change.

No need to arrive 20 minutes early in winter and get over heated in the car or chilled outside ... please make an effort to arrive before the ride start time.
