Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Starting wit a flat warm up (18-20 mph pace on the flats). Then we hit the hills of Miller Pl. Mt. Sinai & Port Jeff. with some loops & repeats. Wait ups on the hills & long climbs. A rest stop at Tiger Lilly's in PJ. My cell 631 922-0632 Park on side lot by TJMax off Canal RD.
We are off to Flo's where we will stop for a break before heading back. The average pace will be between 16.0 to 17.0 mph depending on the roads, wind direction and other conditions. The road speed will naturally be higher (18 -20 mph).
Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 7:00am if necessary. My cell phone number is 347-677-4164; call or text anytime if you have questions about this ride.
East Islip BoA to the famous Copenhagen Bakery in Northport where we will have our food/rest stop. This ride is posted as a B/B+ due to effort required for some of the hills, however, average speed will come in more like a "B" level ride. We will cover the Vanderbilt rollers as well as the hills in Northport, Fort Solonga, Kings Park and Smithtown. These hills are very managable - nothing crazy.
No one gets dropped. Wait-up's at the top of each hill. Water breaks as needed.
Please call my cell number below if you have any questions.
Come join me for a nice B- ride to Bellport Docks, I am going to keep this ride at a B- group ride. There is no sense pushing it with temperatures close or in 90's. We can stop at the Bellport Deli for a snack and then meet at the docks, or some of us can go straight to the dock to get a nice bench seat.
This will be a tag along with Brian's ride. Opportunity to try a new level as you can always drop back if feeling uncomfortable. We will stop at Bagel Shop for snack. Any questions call me at 516-557-4100
We'll take off from Sunshine Mall, stopping at McDonalds on 111 in Manorville (we'll enter the parking lot by making a left onto Chapman Blvd then a right into the lot). Sprint section on 111 if so desired.
This is an A- ride and the speeds will be between 18-21. We will keep the group together and anyone that wants to ride faster can post a companion ride. I am looking to come in on the lower end of the average range.
Easy C+ ride no one left behind if temperature is hot the pace will be slower rest stop at Briermere Questions call cell 631-484-1650 before 7pm or after 7am.
Today's’ route will be similar to the Great River route with some added mileage, and a few changes. The changes will bring us through Islip Terrace or East Islip; it will all depend on the wind. The route is pretty flat except for an overpass, here and there.
We will go the usual route, heading south, using the Connetquot Park bike path. We’ll work our way through the Islip’s then down to Heckscher Park, do a loop where one can stretch the legs a bit if desired. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.5 & 15.0 +/- mph, or what conditions allow. The road speed will be between 15 and 17.0 mph, or slower if needed for safety concerns.
We’ll be making a bathroom break around mile 21. The rest stop around mile 27 will be the deli/bakery. The route back will be determined by the wind direction. Good Stuff after the Ride. Not sure what good stuff; it's always a surprise.
Come on my C paced ride of 18-22 miles at 10.6-11.6mph. Newbies always welcome and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8:30am. Park on North side of RR at end of road. Bring water and a snack as route will be determined at ride start due to wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition.
