THE new SBRA constitution and bylaws admendents

I read the December Rolling wheels and I am not shore why we need to change all of those SBRA laws. I agree with eliminating the post of Librarian. Most if not all of the material that was in that library is or could be made av-arable online. Maybe SBRA could use two Vice presidents and a web master editor.

the proposal that a question is the requirement that all ride leaders and sweeps will have to attend ride leader training. The more requirements we put on our hard working SBRA ride leaders and sweeps the harder it will be to get volunteers. Not every ride leader or sweep will be able to attend this workshop or class.

How does SBRA plan to enforce this policy if it is ratified. Would all SBRA rides summit ed by ride leaders who did not attend the ride leader workshop be deleted form the ride calender by an editor??? Maybe that ride leader simply would not receive ride leader points. I guess there would be a lot more SHOW AND GO RIDES.

If SBRA required all sweeps to complete the ride leader and sweep program. how would a ride leader know if there sweep attended the Ride leader workshop or not??? Maybe the sweeps who did not attend class would simply not receive there half of ride leader point.

Maybe we could create an incentive or give away ride leader points to every SBRA member who can attend the ride leader programs. SBRA should first try to encourage SBRA members to attend this workshop. Some SBRA members are snow birds and are down south for the winter. WE should not loose ride leader like Dick and Clair Reed because they are away and may not be able to attend this workshop.
