    Zwift Meetup Invite for Tuesday 3/24 9am

    Zwift has a feature called Meetup for group rides. It does require some instructions prior to joining. Note: I will need to follow you in Zwift before I can invite you to the event.

    • Anyone interested you will need to send me an email to . The email should Include your Zwift account name e.g. Tom Gorman (SBRA) and the event date.

    • In the email, let me know if I need to follow you or not in Zwift. 

    • Through Zwift I will send you an invite to the event.

    • If you have any questions, contact me at trgorman1@gmail.com or text/call 631-960-1035.

    • Note: To really make this a social event, I will be using Discord to verbally communicate with the group. The link to my Discord channel:  https://discord.gg/8aGCm5c. To test Discord anytime prior to the event, please contact me. 

    Zwift Meetup Invite

    Date: 3/24/2020

    Start time: 9am

    Duration: 60 minutes

    Where: New York City

    Course: Astoria Line 8

    Distance: 7.2 mile per lap

    Elevation: 425 ft per lap

    Pace: The Keep Everyone Together feature. (Everyone stays together regardless of power output. You’ll be able to draft and move around in the group without fear of being dropped unless you stop pedaling.)

    SBRA Class: B/B+ ride (it will depend on who is on the ride) It might not matter with the new Keep Everyone Together option.

    Ride Leader: Tom Gorman with the yellow beacon

    Special Instructions:

     

    • Jersey change to the Basic 2 jersey. Also add (SBRA) to your account name e.g. Tom Gorman (SBRA). Both will help with group identification.

    • We will be using Discord for verbal communications. Use this link to my Discord channel: https://discord.gg/8aGCm5c 

    • The ride leader (me) will be identified with the yellow beacon overhead.

    • Those of us on the Meetup will be highlighted green in the list of riders.

    • We will start the ride at a slower pace to allow the other riders from around the world to clear out.

    SBRA is a member of bicyclelongisland.org.
